The much delayed Blissford Village Trust cattle drive finally took place at dusk last Saturday. Miz Issy was able to make the arrangements to follow Jonno’s Roller Hockey match.
After some preparations (filling Kate’s horse box with hay) the three strong herd were led out into the great historic Drove way to Blissford Cross. “Steaks alive!” [...]

Back From Tas

Apr 12th, 2003 | By Editor | Category: Issue 220, Volume 6

Our explorer team from Tas are back and there was a joyful reunion with Blissford’s Poet Laureate, sporting £150 worth of Vet’s intervention ( a feat to rival Button’s). Parking was at a premium at Boonoo Squared where Young Chris’s intriguing display of car parts, entitled “Blown Gasket” was open to be admired.

Mellors Stood Down

Apr 12th, 2003 | By Editor | Category: Issue 220, Volume 6

With the sudden collapse of Bagdad Falls, our own correspondent tells us that Mellors, Blissford’s Bio Tech expert; on high alert in the event of a So Damn Insane bug infestation, can now be stood down. Seen here with Chrissie Bunny at Kingfisher/Watersplash, in happier times, advising on slugs. Mellors is not is his real [...]

Apologia Pro Vita Sua

Apr 12th, 2003 | By Editor | Category: Issue 220, Volume 6

It has been brought to the attention of the Editorial Staff that despite the obvious distress it causes both our Foreign Correspondent from Hungerford and the Reclusive Web Genius (RWG); last weeks B.V. returned to its eccentric dating and numbering deviance, albeit, only as to date on this occasion.
It is proposed that an undated and [...]

Apr 12th, 2003 | By Editor | Category: Issue 220, Volume 6

Fresh from New Hall and Mr Beaumont’s surgery, Steve is walking a little stiffly. Issy was able to tend to him professionally before discharge. His cycling should be gently resumed.

Great Ghosts of Blissford #11: The Great Cockerle of the Vale

Apr 12th, 2003 | By Editor | Category: Issue 220, Volume 6

This is an apparition which is said to be over six foot with a beak like a scythe. Neither Button nor Nelson were prepared to be interviewed and their vets have relied on professional discretion.
The Great Cockerle will have your head off while it clucks and scratches. People who have seen it close up and [...]
